The ExpressCheckoutElement does not require a client secret; you don't need to create a PaymentIntent first/before you're able to present the ExpressCheckoutElement to your customer
But that is not what I see on your documentation

Ah, that's slightly confusing in the docs. You don't need a client secret to render the ECE but you eventually need to create a PI, yes
