Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ I think you're mixing up Payment Methods (used to make payments into Stripe, and CashApp is a valid one) and External Account (used for receiving Payouts from Stripe, which only support bank accounts and debit cards).

As far as I'm aware, Cash App can't be used for receiving Payouts. I may be missing something though, did you see something giving you a different impression?

When I'm on the connect.stripe flow, I was able to select cashapp as an available option, so I got the impression that it was possible to enable this.

Gotcha, that is news to me, but as far as I'm aware, and as the screenshot you shared before seems to corroborate, that isn't supported currently.

This flow is also unrelated to any payment method settings that you see in the dashboard.

Yeah was taking a closer look at the payment method settings page on the stripe dashboard and you're correct, it was for getting connect accounts to support adding cashapp on the checkout flow. So, what I am asking about can you confirm for sure that it's currently not be a valid option for payouts?

Okay, thanks for confirming. Is adding cashapp as an option possible as a feature request for stripe connect in the future?

Absolutely! I'll flag to our teams that this is a feature you'd be interested in seeing added in the future.
