I am not as familiar with our dashboard app, but the platform will get any events that are emitted from the payment. So if you can create a subscription and then do tap to pay with the payment intent from the subscription's first invoice that will fire an invoice.payment_succeeded event on the platform
ok, thanks.
Is there any reliable way to know if an invoice.payment_succeeded event is that of the first charge by looking at the event payload?
As mentioned on my way out but a good way to check for this typically is checking the billing_reason on the invoice object. It will be subscription_create for the firt invoice unless you used a free trial https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices/object#invoice_object-billing_reason
