Hello, yes ACH Credit Transfers are being deprecated and you should migrate to Bank Transfers. That being said, I don't have any information I can provide on the specifics of the deprecation timeline -- if you are looking for that information you'll want to reach out to our Support team via https://support.stripe.com/contact/login

I know the timeline.

With the new migration we are hitting the funding instructions API to use bank transfers.

So for customers currently using ACH credit transfer, we'll have to hit the funding instructions API to switch them over to bank transfers, correct?

Yes that's my understanding.

I don't know the exact specifics of whether the recommendation here is to create a new Customer object or if you can migrate an already-existing Customer.

Okay sounds good

I'd assume you can use the same Customer, but this is where our Support team will be more aware as they are more familiar with the recommended migration path here.

I believe we can hit the funding instructions API for the existing customer

Then yes, if you get bank details back doing so, and see a Customer Balance for that customer, that is the correct way.
