Ah like if this may increase the fraud score for a user which would then have difficulties depositing onto out platform in the future

A basic example could be: we detect that the user is overseas, so we want to cancel a transaction because we think it's "too risky". Opposed to, when a user creates a paymentIntent but doesn't fill out their payment method (card details) so we cancel the transaction as "abandoned".

Totally understand that there are radar rules, but we run a bunch of other rules before accept a deposit ๐Ÿ™‚

No I don't think canceling paymentIntents will increase the risk score for a particular customers.

And I'll recommend using Radar directly so that you don't need to spend efforts in creating your own rules.
