Can we use an api to determine what pricing fee *would* apply for a given payment intent?
No there's not an api for this unfortunately
I don't believe there is a way for payment tool to know its a subscription - is this accurate?
We don't know about this pricing tool unfortunately. We just focus on developer api questions in here and don't know much about dashboard functionality
