Our hopes would be to take these 500 customers.
Loop through their subscriptions and create new customers for each subscription, attaching their payment method to those customers, and then replicate that subscription at no prorate, then remove that subscription from the base customer

Hi there. You can use the information on the Customer object to create a new Customer with the same information, but it isn't possible to transfer an existing PaymentMethod from one Customer object to another. You would need to re-collect payment method details
