Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹ checking the basics here, you do have Google Pay turned on in your payment method settings correct?

If so, in your testing, are you using a device with a Google Pay wallet already set up with a card in it?

#

We only surface wallet payment methods if we detect that the wallet is already set up and ready for use, including having a card in it already.

Yes, Google Pay is turned on the Stripe Dashboard.

Yes, I am using Google Wallet app and that has one Real credit card added.

I don't have my Android test device on me to confirm, but I'm not sure Google Wallet is the correct place to set those up (though I may be mistaken).

Do you see the card added if you view payment methods belonging to that Google account on this site?

Yes, check the screenshot.

Hm, the last thing readily coming to mind, is whether this works as expected if you don't set the Google Pay environment to test?

gaunt fractal
#

Yes, then it's working. It shows the option with Production

#

But payment didn't go through. It throws the error.

lapis monolith
#

I don't think you need to set that value to a test environment, but am double checking that with my teamamtes. Can you elaborate on the error you're referring to encountering?

gaunt fractal
#

Here is the error.

#

I am using it in the emulator because I am in India through VPN.

#

Can you share your Stripe account ID? Is that an error that is showing up your request logs within your Stripe account?

#

I've also checked with my teammate, who is a bit more familiar with this mobile testing, and they said it's expected to not be able to test Google Pay successfully via an emulator. Is there any way you could try to test with a physical device?

gaunt fractal
#

I tried it on Real device also but Google Wallet is not available in India.

#

I tried it with VPN as well.

lapis monolith
#

That's correct, Google Pay is blocked for India IPs and you would need to use a VPN to attempt to test that.

#

Google Wallet doesn't show my credit card in the real device.

#

Can you share the ID of your Stripe account?

#

I removed that message as it seemed to contain your contact information and this is a public forum. The ID I'm looking for is the ID of your Stripe account, and that ID should have a acct_ prefix.

gaunt fractal
#

Ok. Let me get it.

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

I"m stepinng in as my colleague needs to go soon

#

Unfortunately, Google Pay on a mobile device will not present if that device is in India.

gaunt fractal
#

It's not even showing in the US if I provide the build to my colleague in test mode.

What errors are thrown when your US colleague tests this build?
