Hi!
this is my event: evt_1QTMGkGhDr1u9rxFJNUJQUy2
I want to understand how this works, if the overusage price has the period end at 00:00:00, will my usage for 00:00:00 register for that day and apply the overage?
further clarification:
invoice item for the overusage price ends at: 1736208000
I send a meter event at 1736208000 as well
will it count for that billing cycle, or the next one?
Hi there ๐ apologies for the delay. I'm jumping in to lend a hand, please bear with me a moment while I catch up on the context here.
will it count for that billing cycle, or the next one?
It will be counted for the next billing cycle I think.
have you tried to make a test using Test Clocks?
not yet, but it is uncomfortable that I have to rely on an undocumented hidden behaviour. do we not know why the period end is different for the overusage price in the first place?
also it is not exactly easy to test this out - but I agree that it is possible so if we can't find something that directly confirms behaviour I will do so thank you for the idea! I'm just afraid that this could change under the hood at any point since it is not explicitly stated anywhere as far as I can tell
This is relevant only because of the truncated period end, otherwise it would be trivial and inclusive vs exclusive would be a miniscule issue - however in this case we could lose a whole day of overage due to the truncation.
This is actually documented here:
