I don't believe this was ever possible, even with Sources.

With Sources I suppose you could have waited a short amount of time to actually charge the Source.

Which would kind of serve as manual capture.

But you couldn't actually set capture_method: 'manual'.

Overall though, no, it isn't possible to use manual capture here with Bancontact.

Is there any other way we can let the user authorize the payment without auto charging? We want to determine the stripe fee before actually charging our customer

We want to use a manual capture as the price we want to charge might change while the customer is authorizing the payment. We sell flights for B2B customers, and taxes are subject to change at 23:59 at the end of the day. So when our customer would start an authorization at 23:58 and confirm after 23:59 we want to check if the price is still correct before actually charging them.

This would easily be done with manual capture for cards, but we also want the same behaviour for Bancontact and iDeal
