👋 Welcome to your new thread!
⏲️ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
⏱️ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

Hello! I guess you gist is that you also acquired their codebase and want to ensure that it'll function with the new Stripe account, right?
Exactly, thanks @astral forum
Got it! Then this checklist, despite being called go-live, is probably relevant: https://docs.stripe.com/get-started/checklist/go-live
On top of the API key and webhook secret and be sure to check if there are any object IDs in the codebase too as they will need to change. Things like cus_xxx IDs or price_xxx IDs for what your customers subscribe to
Thanks @astral forum I'm not sure the codebase does have that, but that's good to know if we spot it in the logs after the switch over. And my questions - Will existing Stripe customers receive any notifications after the change? (We’ve already contacted them separately.)
What happens there?
We won't notify them directly of the acquisition/transition if that's what you mean. The only kind of notification they'd receive would be billing related, like receipts/invoices if they're turned on, once the new subscriptions start
Thanks yes that's specifically what I mean, I appreciate that any subsequent invoices will have our business details. So is the go-live checklist the most relevant checklist for a transition of accounts from one country to the next? I was searching high and wide for a walk through on this, I imagine it's not too unique.
Yes, invoices have the details of the business from the Stripe account they're created on. There's no way to avoid that other than disabling them
And is there a more specific guide for switching internationally from one account to another account?
Not that I'm aware of, maybe a better question for support as we can only really help with specifical technical/API questions
We wish we could help, but you need to talk to Stripe support
We can only help on Discord if all of the following are true:
- 🧑💻 You must be a developer
- 🛠️ Your question must be about building a Stripe integration
- ⚙️ Your question must be technical/developer focused
- ⏱️ You must be available to respond in realtime
- 👥 You must be comfortable receiving help in public (this is a public server)
If any of those aren't true please contact Stripe support.
If all of those are true we may have misunderstood your question; please provide more details below.
