It seems like the Bank blocked the Payment due to this...
As we can't ask our old customers to change their mandate
I'm not sure honestly if there is a possibility to update all mandates with the new name on Stripe Side without confirming with the Bank issuers.
the most straightforward approach is to collect new mandates I think.
Ok so on your point of view you confirm that changing the company name is the root cause of the issue?
Yes, this seems like the most obvious explanation in this case.
If it is the case you should escalade this as it is crazy that I can change the name of the company in the admin without a HUGE warning on the consequences.
A significant part of our revenues is at risk here (thanks for the answers by the way).
I have no way of escalating this unfortunately. Please follow up on your Support conversation and say that you can confirm the issues are most likely caused by the name change. They must be able to help with this.
I don't mean my specific case, I mean the generic problem that an admin person can change the name in the interface without warning that is causing the wall SEPA revenue stream to fail. Basically the name in the mandat should not be dynamic, if you change the name of the company it should apply to only new SEPA mandates.
By the way is there a way to have some serious answers by real human like you at the support. You were more efficient in 2 minutes that all the interactions I have since one week.
Where did you change the name exactly?
Yeah, we try to provide real-time interaction here, but we're primarily focused on developer questions.
Regular support is more asynchronous, unfortunately.
We change the name in Stripe dashboard. I give you the link
