Hi there
There are lots of other payment method types supported by Stripe (some with restrictions for specific currencies, countries, etc.) that are not cards
However, if your account is managed by Workato and you can't manage payment methods yourself via the Dashboard, you'll need to work with Workato
Is there any other payment method that you could suggest that is not bank transfer and that does not require asking customers for their bank account info?
Just to make sure we're on the same page, Bank Transfer payments don't require asking customers for their bank account information. With Bank Transfers, Stripe creates a virtual bank account number that you share with customers. Customers then push money from their own bank to virtual bank account
I suspect you don't want wallets (e.g. GooglePay, ApplePay) since these are essentially cards. There are "buy now, pay later" options like Klarna, Affirm, etc.
This might help: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-methods/overview
Yes that is what bannk transfer is. Looking for a similar option that can work with workato.
Our deadline is Jan 31st.
If Workato manages your payment methods, you'll need to continue discussing this with them
Got it. Can you share your account ID? It begins with acct_
We deployed the changes to our production env and tried to turn on the Bank Transfer payment method from the dashboard settings. Without it it doesn't work.
Our billing team got the email shortly after.
This was yesterday
Thanks, that's helpful!
Okay, so the issue here is that the two platforms in the email are currently still integrating with the legacy ACH Credit Transfers. If we enable Bank Transfers on your account, that could break functionality between your account and these platforms
If you still use both of these platforms and plan on continuing to do so, I recommend reach out to those platforms directly. If they have any questions about how they will make the move from Credit Transfers to Bank Transfers, they can reach out to Stripe directly
Okay
I went through the payment methods. It seems like Bank transfers is an alternative to ACH credit (I have tested all of this).
But there is no alternative to bank transfers, correct?
Credit Transfers are being replaced by Bank Transfers
Okay and there is no alternative similar to bank transfers, correct?
There are other Payment Method types altogether but, if you're moving off of Credit Transfers, the only alternative is Bank Transfers
Okay got it
