Easiest way is to just create a dispute directly on the Connected Account

You should be able to to do this for testing by going to the Connected Account in your Dashboard and then clicking the three dots in the top right and clicking "View Dashboard as Connected Account"

Then you can create a payment in their Dashboard using the dispute card

And this can push their balance negative
