How did you check whether the user exists? Do you check against your own database or search from Stripe via API?
Stripe doesn't manage customer duplicates. You should manage within your own system

For mobile app, I'd recommend using PaymentSheet instead of Checkout Session:

After the customer is created, you should save the Stripe Customer ID (cus_xxx) against your own customer reference number in your database. If the customer returns next time, Stripe Customer ID can be used to prevent duplicates

Stripe doesn't support flutter officially. I'd recommend checking the community library, flutter_stripe: https://github.com/flutter-stripe/flutter_stripe
