Ah, this isn't currently supported, unfortunately. There's an outstanding feature request internally, which I'll bump for you.

The only way to apply the promotion code via the portal is to also update the Subscription in some other way as well.

One last question, it doesn't look like there is a way to delete a BPC right now just looking through the docs. Is this true? Not a huge deal because it's not set as the default so if I just never use it, everything should be fine just wondering for my own OCD purposes

Correct, you can't delete them. Best to try to forget it exists. 😅
