I've seen this, but does it allow you to redeem the promo code without making any other change to their subscription product / price?
It should, yeah. Have you tried it? Are you seeing different behavior?
Yeah at least from what I'm seeing the option is not there
How did you create your Customer Portal Configuration?
Using the API. Is this something I need to explicitly allow when i create the session? I would think it would use the settings that I have set up through the stripe dashboard
Yeah, you need to explicitly set it as a feature when creating the Configuration. See here: https://docs.stripe.com/api/customer_portal/configurations/create#create_portal_configuration-features-subscription_update-default_allowed_updates
AH ok that is super helpful. So when I create a billing portal session, is there a way to define which config to use?
