i think (hope) that it is a small problem with clerk or giving the clerk user id to stripe

Hello, unfortunately we don't have much Next.js specific knowledge on this server and it looks like the Stripe API isn't involved with the code that is acting unexpectedly here. If you got to forums for next.js support they will likely have a better idea on how to debug and address this
