Stripe events are not sent in order. I'd recommend checking this guide on how to handle this scenario: https://docs.stripe.com/webhooks#event-ordering

but can it be that a payment intent succeeded and then stripe sends a failed after? a payment intent when succeeded cant fail afterwards right?

Since the payment intent is not in order, this can be possible. For example, customer fails in the first payment attempt, but succeeds in second attempt immediately. When the event is not ordered, this can happen when customer attempts the payments multiple times within a short period.

yes i understand but the payment intent itself.. once succeeded its done - its the final stage - right?
