hi! you can't really test it. it opens a modal, and the contents of that modal are controlled by the bank. In some cases I believe there might be a button the customer can click to go to their app

One more question in that should I handle requires_action and then confirm the intent in some cases via the webhook (should the user close browser after 3DS but before redirected to url)?

yes, you want to use webhooks to update your database/ship orders/send emails etc, since as you say a customer can complete 3D Secure but never get redirected back to your site, for various reasons
