Hello! Those are two distinct API requests. One is to create a Payment Intent, which is an object that tracks someone's intent to pay you, and the other is to create a Payment Method, which is an object that represents payment info (like a credit card or bank account). If your integration is making only one of those requests sometimes unexpectedly you need to debug why that's happening on your end.
