Hi, we document how refunds work when the does not have enough balance here: https://docs.stripe.com/refunds

Refunds use your available Stripe balance (not including pending amounts). If your available balance doesn’t cover the amount of the refund, Stripe holds the refund as pending until your Stripe balance becomes sufficient

gotcha, so the refund do the customer ultimately happen and the stripe balance can go into the negative in these cases?
