I don't really get the question. That API is for automatic tax

green tusk
#

Well thank you then

#

Its not clearly mentionned "automatic tax" but just "tax"

#

Since there is the tax object too (manual individual taxes), I wasn't sure

mellow quail
#

not sure which manual one you are referring to.
Sorry we have a lot of products, lots of APIs and we love to pick generic names too ๐Ÿ˜…

Do you mean the TaxRates API?

green tusk
#

Yeah

#

the doc says

Settings have the required information and ready for tax calculations.
instead of "ready for automatic tax calculations" therefore my uncertainty

#

There is indeed a lot of products and api, so I wasn't sure lol

#

Thank your for clarifying

To be clear someone can have all those settings and still not use our Stripe Tax product for example. That's why I wasn't certain on what you were really asking

green tusk
#

Sorry if my question wasn't clear

So if this returns true, I am 100% sure that any checkout session with automatic_taxes => true will work?

mellow quail
#

whaat does that mean "this returns true"?

green tusk
#

Active

#

status => active

mellow quail
#

gotcha, then yes I would think it means it's ready to calculate tax
