Hello! That email is just to let you know that using the statement_descriptor parameter for card payments will no longer be allowed. If you're using that you'll need to switch to the statement_descriptor_suffix parameter. If you're not using statement_descriptor you shouldn't have to make any changes.

No, it's fine not to use it. Most people set the statement descriptor in the Dashboard and that works fine.
