Hi there, is it about why alipay is in the resolved payment_method_types list?

I'll try to rephrase.
- A merchat requested enabling of payment method (Alipay or any other on-request enablabale)
- The merchant initiate a payment through the platform . Dynamic PM is enabled for this payment
- Customer confirms the payment
- Platform has to process the payment which it doesn't support/cannot maintain (and even be listed) in PMC

Btw, the checkout session creation request includes invoice_creation, and Stripe will an invoice and use the payment method types that you set in https://dashboard-admin.stripe.com/test/settings/billing/invoice
I just checked you Dashboard, and alipay in in the "default payment methods" list

Why the children PMC does have Alipay enabled while the parent one (managed by Platform) doesn't have?
I believe this is a terrible inconsistency — a merchant can use the PM and platform must support purchases made with this PM but Platform cannot manage or prohibit using of this PM

Are you still talking about the payment method settings for checkout (i.e., https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods ), or invoice settings (i.e., https://dashboard-admin.stripe.com/test/settings/billing/invoice)

I didn't get this response tbh. The Platform's PMC is pmc_1OrEIYBuAjJKqEiZxDMl14fl and it doesn't have Alipay
My concern is a discrepancy between the PMC of the platform and customer's ability to use some PM not available in platforms

I don't see discrepancy because pmc_1QDDSZBuAjJKqEiZYBItp6s2 has alipay enabled. If you open https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/billing/invoice in your Dashboard, you'll see alipay in the list of payment methods that you enabled

First of all, pmc_1QDDSZBuAjJKqEiZYBItp6s2 isn't relevant here, because the checkout session use your pmc for "billing payment" due to the invoice_creation params
And the billing payment pmc contains alipay
