I should add that in general the platform level is still using the Sources api, although this new code is using the PaymentIntent api.

I think it looks like you're still using legacy Bank Account sources in the request you shared. Are you make a request to update that object using this endpoint:
https://docs.stripe.com/api/customer_bank_accounts/update
and providing a value for account_holder_name?

Thanks! That appears to be it. I am now encountering errors regarding mandates, which I'm not familiar with and will research, but presumably that means I'm past the present hurdle.
