You'd update the schedule to remove the phase which maps to the 'downgrade'
or can i just release the subscription from schedule ?
Sure
how can i know the subscription is added for the update in the schedule ?
I don't understand the question
if a customer downgrades plan, a subscription schedule is add for current subscription with phases that defines the downgrade. now , how can i know is a particular subscription is scheduled for downgrade in next billing cycle ?

- Release the Subscription from the Schedule.
If you don't require the schedule for any other updates, then I'd recommend just releasing control and letting the subscription cycle naturally
