We actually don't maintain that Firebase extension and I'm not familiar with it myself. You'll need to reach out to the extension maintainers about this -- I'd recommend posting an issue on the github repo about this.

Hi! I'm actually not using the extension but just tried it. In the repo they did mention some issues with v2 of firebase so my next step is just to try to downgrade but am not totally sure yet.
