Looks like you were using a restricted API key, and this key doesn't have permission to delete accounts
Can you try again with your secret key?

Ah, thanks for getting back to me @dusty pollen,
I've reviewed the key (default generated via stripe login command) in use as you've suggested and found connect resource write operations are not permitted. I updated them and retried the delete command which worked 🎉
