we dont want to collect payment method, we want to use in existing customer payment method

In this case, you can set the existing payment method to default_payment_method when creating a subscription: https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions/create#create_subscription-default_payment_method

Could you share the example Payment Intent (pi_xxx) that you used to collect the payment method details, so that I can take a look why you weren't getting the payment method?

In https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/logs/req_sHPUAyfzQ1BmqN, your system didn't request to save the payment method, i.e. setup_future_usage=off_session wasn't set in the request
