in my case, i try to update ID number for account via api, but Stripe report an error that "This application is not authorized to edit the parameter 'email'."
but when i login from dashboard, i try to change email address in that account and success

It looks like you're using a restricted API key to update that parameter. Restricted keys are intentionally limited regarding account management. You'll want to use your secret API key instead to update the email address for that connected account
