๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.
๐ This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1296146863778693120

Hello! Can you give me the ID of the Invoice in question so I can take a look?
That's it! Hang on...
That Invoice was paid successfully.
What makes you think it wasn't paid?
Oh, my colleague just clicked "Charge Customer", so it charged. Hahah! Why didn't it charge automatically? Does it just not do that when simulating?
It looks like it didn't have enough time to finalize and move forward on its own. Recurring Invoices, after being created, have a delay where they wait for about an hour so you can modify them while they're still in draft status. They also wait for responses from any Webhook Endpoints set up to listen for certain Invoice Events.
Can you try again and make sure your webhooks are responding in a timely manner, and advance time further ahead?
Got it. We're creating a new subscription now. We didn't have --skip-verify active, so I think it wasn't quite working on our end.
Ah! Ok, so we moved time forward an year to create the subscription, and then moved it forward another day and it paid it. Interesting!
Do you happen to know if there's a trick to getting Stripe CLI to work within a Docker environment?
No tricks I'm aware of. It sounds like you're running into an issue? What's blocking you?
Oh, when using CLI to listen you have to tell it the exact endpoint to go to for the webooks to be received to. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ As opposed to when a Webhook URL is created via the API you include the URL as part of the object.
We'll get there. ๐
Ah, yep.
Feature request: When you click "Advance time" and are waiting for the screen to refresh, a DeLorean drives across the screen, left-to-right, and flashes off as it reaches the right side.
Ha! Probably some legal/copyright issues to iron out there. ๐
I mean... y'all are Stripe. ๐
(By the way, everything is working. Now I'm just wasting your time. Hahah!)
Glad to hear things are sorted out!
