My desired outcome is that the window forced scroll doesnt happen and the navigation bar stays in sight at all times (except when the field is not in view)

hmm, got it! probablby best to open a support ticket with a link to a reproduction so we can file a full feature request for this

I'd have to dig into it in more depth on a page that replicates it and see what's causing it before I could really answer that

deploy your code to a site somewhere or a password-protected page on your real site, or use some service like codesandbox etc to put up a minimal example. Presumably this is something to do with the CSS applied to your header navbar for instance
