Well I think you could design a breakdown section above the PaymentElements... If you want it to be besides, may need to tweak the CSS with the dev you are going to mount a bit

But does the Payment element have something like this that shows the breakdown?
I'm just trying to understand how the flow of a Setup or Payment intent would work.

No PaymentElements doesn't have a built in breakdown section. It's only about the collecting card info or any payment method info

It's totally up to you to build a separated breakdown section, displaying any inside items as of your business scenario, and then a PaymentElements which account for the final amount
