👋 Welcome to your new thread!

⏲️ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.

⏱️ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

🔗 This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1293967144391806980

after the flash of the page reload you'll see 6-7 seconds

@arctic hemlock I don't think there's anything specific you can do. It can take a while to render ExpressCheckoutElement as we have to investigate each payment method and whether it's available

arctic hemlock
#

So it takes 6-7 seconds to do this?

snow jasper
#

6 seconds seems really slow. Is it consistent? Can you share a real demo so I can look?

https://www.scrubin.com (add something to your cart, on the cart page, enter a zip if not populated, then click "Proceed..." the next page should show you the three buttons.

#

is it consistent? Yes but not 100% sometimes it goes fast. Just seems like it's been slower and slower

snow jasper
#

sure but can you try my demo and see what you see?

arctic hemlock
#

Yeah your demo is much quicker

snow jasper
#

Okay I tried your demo and the buttons appear near instantly for me

Hmm.. ok I won't waste anymore of your time. I will dig around and see my issue. I wonder if local or our development server is the cause. Would there be any sort of issue there?

#

for sure normal loading

snow jasper
#

My understanding is that GooglePay can be slow and so it will sometimes hold up the rendering

#

You could put a loading UI in that space while you wait for the element to be ready otherwise?
