Thanks for waiting. Upon further checking with our team, I'm afraid subscriptions are currently not available with PayPal Express Checkout. For a bit of context, this integration is currently new and our developers and team are working on this.

Okay so yes ExpressCheckoutElement doesn't yet support Paypal in that flow. But Paypal would appear in PaymentElement so you can integrate with both and it will work

so customer uses paypal to make the 1st payment?

the issue we have is we build a virtual environment for the client so moving the client away form our registration setup causes the registration to break. Keeping the flow on our site is important.

That might work. I'd recommend testing in Test mode end to end

yes i think i will, i see lots of people on stack overflow saying they hav it working but official statement is its not support with ECE
