Hi ๐ if you're a US-based Platform onboarding accounts from within the US and those outside of the US via Cross-Border Payouts, then you should use the full service agreement for US-based Connected Accounts and the recipient service agreement for non-US-based Connected Accounts.
Hi !
So generally accounts from USA --> "full" and rest of accounts "reciepients" ?
If you're a US-based Platform, yes.
US-based Platform means that app is on US servers ?
or US-based means that onboarding account IP is from US ?
It's referring to what country the Stripe account you're using (the Platform account) to connect additional accounts to (your Connected Accounts) is based.
Like when you signed up for Stripe (not your Connected Accounts), did you sign up for a Stripe account for a US business.
My stripe account is assigned to United Kingdom business
If you didn't you won't be able to use the recipient agreement when onboarding Connected Accounts as our Cross-Border Payouts feature is only available to US-based Platforms currently.
https://docs.stripe.com/connect/cross-border-payouts
ok, so if my platform is from United Kingdom --> all service agrements to "recipient" ?
Hm, I don't think any would use the recipient service agreement then.
i saw this yt video from stripe developers and this guy set this if
Gotcha. I suspect they're using a US-based account as their Platform.
I see, so for my case (platform in UK) you suggest always use "recipient" ?
No, I suggest never using recipient
