Hello
The error seems quite descriptive no?
Your account balance is lower than the amount you're trying to transfer to the connected account, so the API request errors out
Where exactly are you looking?
Ah balance is in USD
You're trying to transfer EUR
but does't stripe convert for us?
like, if I need to send 10 EUR, stripe just calculates the amount in dollars and send it?
That's not how it works.. You can't specify a different currency when you transfer.. You'd transfer in the currency that your platform supports and then Stripe will convert it to the connected account currency when settling the funds..
Try changing the transfer currency to usd, what do you see in the response?
when I do in usd it works
okay.. so is there an api where I can get the current conversion ratio in stripe? for example, I need to send £10, than I make and api call sending this and get how much that would be in usd... is there such a thing?
We don't have an API for currency conversion rate. See: https://docs.stripe.com/currencies/conversions#foreign-exchange-rates
hmm okay
