👋 how may I help?
I have created a subscription with charge £84 and after that I would like to cancel that subscription with full refund
But I got an error "Refund amount (£84.00) is greater than charge amount (£45.00) "
I wanna know how to I manage this?
yes that's not possible since part of the payment was coming from the customer's credit balance
what you can do is the following:
- refund the £45.00 from the charge object
- issue a credit note for £39.00 https://docs.stripe.com/billing/customer/balance#examples
if a credit note can be generated for the £45 as well?
yes you can create a customer credit balance for the whole amount £89.00, but this means that the customer won't be refunded on their payment method but rather as credit balance to be used for future billing payments
