Hi, what you're describing is not supported as Affirm does not support recurring payment: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/affirm.

That's the thing, I don't want to do recurring payments with Affirm. If they pay with Affirm, I do not need to save their payment method information
If they pay with Affirm, it will not be a recurring payment
If they use a credit card on the Checkout, that's when I would like to save it

You can't do that simultaneously. You likely want to use our deferred payment intent, https://docs.stripe.com/payments/accept-a-payment-deferred?platform=web&type=payment where you collect the payment method first and then use additional logic to either charge the customer or to save the payment method.
