it depends why exactly you would have a 0 amount, but generally that's what the setup mode (and SetupIntents) is for

cause I need the intentCreationCallback so I can use it in my API later to handle the next step

If you want to set 0 amount, then you need to use SetupIntents and not PaymentIntent
