Are you moving away from Checkout and building this yourself? It's definitely doable and you can use add_invoice_items when creating the Subscription to add an extra one-off Price for shipping to their first Invoice

I'll look into add_invoice_items. I suppose my other question is whether I need to add the products in stripe to use subscriptiosn or whether I can dynamically add the products using price_data like I do with payment intents. I appreciatte the help and if you have any thoguhts when you open discord again I would greatly appreciatte ti

PaymentIntents doesn't have price_data at all. But Checkout Session would. And yes Subscriptions support price_data too, see https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions/create#create_subscription-add_invoice_items-price_data
