Hi 👋 I'm not the most familiar with React Native, but I've not heard of this behavior before. Looking for similar reports all I'm finding is the issue that you submitted.
Did you try multiple versions of our package and see that behavior consistently by chance?
Reporting the issue against our repro is likely the best way to get an understanding of what is going on though. Our team that maintains that library will look into the issue you filed.

Hello, no I have not but I can try a few do you have any suggestions on versions? I left an issue there but just worried seems half of the issues there never get a response and it’s holding up a launch
But yes I’m the meantime I’ll try some more versions

Included in the issue is a link to an example project I’ve set up where the problem can be reproduced
It’s simply a react native init followed by installing the stripe package and one file that uses it

Gotcha, my teammate is taking a look at the sample app you provided to see if anything stands out to them. I'll let you know if they have suggestions or questions.
They're able to repro and are taking a closer look to see if they can spot anything.
My teamamte wasn't able to repro with the raw underlying Android SDK, so we think this is specific to our RN library and have flagged that to the appropriate team internally as well. That team was also provided with a link to the issue you filed so they can reference and update that.
