@acoustic fiber We don't really have the concept of a defaut payment method the same way we did with the old API. This was mostly deprecated.
We only support this for Subscriptions for recurring payments in which case you set invoice_settings[default_payment_method] parameter: https://docs.stripe.com/api/customers/update#update_customer-invoice_settings-default_payment_method
