Hi there , you've already set the shipping address (https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/logs/req_sCDIvS6VcDDufr) when creating the PaymentIntent with a backend secret key, and that's why you can't change the shipping information when confirming the paymentIntent from client side
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
ok. so can you suggest a solution for this?
I'm not sure whether I understood it correctly. does this mean the shipping address will be over written while confirming the payment intent?
Remove shipping when confirming from client side https://docs.stripe.com/js/payment_intents/confirm_payment#confirm_payment_intent-options-confirmParams-shipping
I haven't given shipping parameter for confirmParams. Then how can I remove it?
Are you using any address element?
yes. I'm using address element
That explained the issue! When you use Address Element in the same Elements group, the shipping address will populate automatically when confirming the payment intent with stripe.confirmPayment()
Two options to solve the issue:
- Remove shipping address from the Payment Intent creation request in the server, and let
elementspopulate the shipping information for you; OR - Create Address Element in a different Elements group
ok. let me try that. thank you
