Hello! So you're adding a separate line item instead of using the shipping parameters on the Checkout Session to specify shipping?

Correct, I believe that is required when mode='subscription'
If I try to use shipping_options with a subscription mode, I get: Error: shipping_options cannot be used in setup or subscription mode.

Ah, gotcha. I'm not sure if there's a way to exclude a line item from a discount, but let me check...

I also tried adding the discount directly to each line item individually, but that throws an error as well (with subscription mode).

Yeah, I don't think there's a way, unfortunately. The only practical workaround I can think of would be to do something like reduce the price of the Subscription manually, or adjust the shipping line item's amount to account for the discount being applied.
