Hi there, are you buildiing a usage based subscription integration?

rough star
#

yes that is correct

forest temple
#

OK, so basically your pricing model invovles

  • a base fee for x amount of usage
  • additional fee if the usage > x
#

Is this correct?

rough star
#

I think these two are the same?, as mine was

#
  • if usage < x
#

then add two lines into invoice

#
  1. usage amount 2) x-usage amount
forest temple
#

Can you walk me through me a concrete example?

rough star
#

sure. let say usage is $1 per Api call and we had 2 Api calls for a billing period, and minimum fee is $500, so now the invoice would be

#

A) $1 * 2 = $2 B) minimum fee variation = $498. C) total = $500

forest temple
#

Hmm, why don't just bill $500 directly?

rough star
#

no I don't

#

that is the business retirement I have and also more transparency in the invoice
