Hi there
Hi @obsidian blade
I followed this doc - https://docs.stripe.com/payments/quickstart and was able to create a page with card elements and charged a guest user
You mentioned "card elements" but this is a PaymentElement guide
Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you working with the PaymentElement and want help using the PaymentElement with Subscriptions?
Yes, so goal is to use the latest Payment Elements for subscription payment - deprecate our old checkout. It uses stripe elements.
I recommend following this guide: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions?platform=web&ui=elements
You'll create a Subscription using your backend code, then use the Subscription's latest_invoice.payment_intent.client_secret to render the PaymentElement
If you use payment_settings.save_default_payment_method: 'on_subscription' when creating the Subscription, the PaymentMethod used to confirm the first payment will be attached to the Subscription. This means that all subsequent Invoices for this Subscription will use this PaymentMethod to charge the customer
Awesome! Thank you ๐ so much this is what I was looking for.
