Once the first invoice is paid, i want to update the cycle anchor.
But the 2nd invoice is created right after, i dont want it to happen

@dire hamlet that's just impossible. If you reset the billing cycle it immediately creates the new Invoice because it starts a new billing schedule.

#

My take is that the way you are using our Subscription product is incorrect if you are creating a Subscription now but it doesn't really start until after the payment really happens

okay, can i do anything on this
my requirement is to start the subscription only when the first invoice is paid and the card is attached

jade karma
#

That's honestly not really something we support. Not unless you accept the payment immediately upfront. Like why did it take 5 days to get that Invoice paid?

Yeah this case can always be there, our client may take 1-2 weeks before he pays the invoice.
We just wanted for him to be fair if he pays late, then he would only have remaining days left until he pays again.

#

I guess we would have to ask customer to attach the card upfront before starting the subscription

jade karma

yes that would be one way. Get them on your app/website and only start the Subscription when they are ready to pay. Don't issue/create an Invoice upfront.
Otherwise maybe look at our Quotes API: https://docs.stripe.com/quotes
