This is a new build running on beta 21 of stripe-terminal-react-native which is backed by Android SDK version 3.7.1
We've disabled pre-warming, so each time the Tap to Pay button is pressed, it connects to the reader in a fresh way, and then when the Tap to Pay sequence is completed (button changes back to available state) it disconnects from the reader.
The Stripe error regarding the AIDL server is still there.
The displayed error message is "Contactless transaction failed com.stripe.core.aidlrpc.AidlRpcException: Failed to send request to AIDL server."
This is a pretty serious regression that did not happen in beta 18 but it present in 19, 20 and 21. We're blocked from shipping updates to the Play Store because they no longer allow apps with a targetSdkVersion under 34, which is broken on older Stripe Terminal Beta versions, so we cannot downgrade the library.
I hope you can understand our feeling of urgency based on this information. It has been very difficult to speak to somebody at Stripe to help with this. I would prefer not to go back to the labyrinth that is email tickets for this one.
